Well, enjoy while you are single with no kids!!! When isn't work (which feeds the habi... err, hobby) is the family that wants to take me away from work (which feeds the habi... err, hobby).

I should go now... :P

It has always been event #7 but the date and venue changed as we got Namao secured for August 25.

Directions to Namao?

Postby locotoy on Fri Aug 24, 2007 6:42 pm

Would the traffic be smoother if I take White Mud Drive East from Gateway Blvd and then White Mud turns to Anthony Henday Dr going north, then West on Hwy 16 and then north on 97 St?

Or.

Would it be easier to cut across the City as per Pat's directions from this thread?

MrHeavyFoot wrote:1. Head towards Edmonton (on the right hand side of the road)
2. Once you reach Edmonton, follow Gateway Blvd until it ends at the river valley
3. Turn right onto Saskatchewan Drive
4. Take an immediate left at Queen Elizabeth Park Road (first lights)
5. Turn tight at the lights at the bottom of the hill onto Walterdale Bridge
6. Turn right again immediately after Walterdale Bridge onto Rossdale Rd.
7. Follow Rossdale Road as it becomes Bellamy Hill and then 101 st
8. Follow 101st North and turn right at 118 Ave
9. Immediately turn left at 97 st (surprisingly, there is only one block between 97 st and 101 st, and its short.)
10. Follow 97 st north and turn left at 137 Ave
11. Follow 137 Ave west and turn right at Castledowns Road (aka 113a st)
12. Follow Castledowns Road north and turn right at the ights at 145 ave
13. The another quick right and a left, go straight a block and there we are.

Naturally #10 to 13 doesn't apply since the Event is at Namao.

I just have to ask, I haven't been to Edmonton in about 3 years.

Thanks very much.
Ian G.

Yes, Hwy 16 is also called the Yellowhead Hwy. That would be much quicker now that Henday is finished.
