'X-Prepared' for modded RX-7s?

I noticed at the last event that the other three RX-7s were all running in 'X-prepared'. I have been running mine in SM because I had removed some of the interior and changed the suspension, but could I be running in X-prepared as well? Maybe I wouldn't always be the slowest class time in X-prepared like I am in SM.

The only interior that SM allows to be removed is the rear seat. So depending what you removed...
If you want to run in XP, I don't think anyone will object. XP is a prepared catch-all. The RX-7s in question are probably all legal for FP. I classed Jerry and Rhonda in XP way back when because I knew they could legally run there. They have never reclassed themselves. I don't think either one cares what class they are in, they just want to run and have fun.

Well, the RX-7s don't have rear seats anyway but I removed the storage buckets, trunk carpet, and headliner. I think both Jerry, and Rhonda's cars have more mods than my car so if XP is a catch-all, then I think I will change classes. I'm only driving for fun too, but I think it would be just a little more fun seeing my times in the same list as the other RX-7s - and not at the bottom.
