FX1 Wide. Should have stayed with just the FX1's. Oh well.

So the gremlins have decided to nest themselves in my car. Started out with the ECU cutting out and then the DCCD was acting up (as in non-functional). Believe it or not, I would turn the A/C on and the DCCD would start making noises. :? :?

Me thinks I have a grounding problem.

This was further reinforced today when I looked at some of my data logs from the last UTEC run I did ==> then one with the RCMP following me home ==> Shows TPS% in the 140% range when it used to peak out at 103 prior to problems.

God I hate wiring problems.

SM is kinda funny. You can't really compare to Prepared. One can't *really* complain about not being able to meet minimum weight (I ecnomically can't reach mine either)...you just have to be prepared to spend the money...or increased the displacement of your motor to the max given what weight you can get chassis :)

SM allows you removal of back seat, stereo, aribags, A/C, and thats it. IMO, about 100-lbs TOPS.

Not entirely accurate but yes, it's a strange rule set. In SM you could run a carbon fibre transmission but you can't remove the ashtray :(

Well, one more problem resolved.

My theory on the throttle problem turned out to be 100% on the mark. Little plastic piece on floor now assures throttle position problems are a thing of the past.

Only ABS & DCCD to figure out

Heh, so that little rubber stopper was keeping the sensor within range? Thats awesome.

What's with the ABS & DCCDCCD? Are they disabled? Sounds like that problem is solved to me ;)

Subaru brakes that come from the factory w/ ABS, are not usually balanced/sensitive enough to use them w/o it... (In the dry at least... on loose surfaces it's a whole different ball game).

As for the DCCD, I think Markus just wants to turn the drifting down a notch. :P

Oh right - sorry I thought the DCCD was the traction control acronym for Subaru, then I remembered they dont have that. That's the diff thingy right?

Too bad about the ABS, I guess preventing flat spots is a worthwhile reason for it.

Yup, and at the moment the DCCD in both his & jer's cars default to "open".

Yup!

Drifting per se isn't so bad, but like Saturday proved, traction conditions can change, so the DCCD gives you the option to "fiddle" if need be. In short, not entirely required, but good to have.
